Ken Cowins a Newcastle born landscape photographer only took up photography five years ago as a hobby, but for a lot of people photography soon turns from a hobby to a passion.

"The thing I love about photography is your always learning new ways, new locations and no two images are ever the same, just when you think you have taken the perfect photograph you take a better one".

Ken is entirely self taught over many years, the best way to learn your trade is hands on learning by your mistakes as you go.

Kens work takes him to the most stunning locations the north of England has to offer from Cumbria with its lakes and beautiful fells to Northumberland with its dramatic coastline, he captures the beauty of the landscape in a vibrant painterly colour, always looking to capture the drama in a scene whether it be a moody sky or a crashing wave.
